Hello 🙋🏻♀️ This is Nihan. I work freelance as an writer and editor for art and psychology magazines and pr-communications expert for an art gallery. I'm Turkish but I lived 11 years in Paris for my studies, then I came back here, so you can consider me half Parisian. Discovering new places in the city is one of my big pleasure.
For example I can be your local guide for; 1) An inspiring artwalk, including special adresses, and artists' studios. 2) A must-see tour in the city: Alsancak, Konak and its Horloge tour, historic bazaar, Ascenseur, Kordon. 3) A must-see tour outside of Izmir; Sirince village, archeological site Efes. 4) Spring or summer tour at outside of İzmir; Çeşme - Alaçatı, Seferihisar, Urla.
There is a lot of option for cosy bars, and Izmir offers also bars dedicated to cocktails. There aren't any big clubs, but if it's festival time there will be open air concerts and parties. Something local? Drinking raki at Kordon sea side and eating fish and mezzes like a true Symrniote!
