I’m Marina, 24 years old. My hometown is Yaroslavl but I moved to Moscow in 2012 so this city is like home to me. I have BA and MA in philology from Lomonosov Moscow State University. I also worked at MSU as a teacher of Russian for foreigners for awhile. One of my favorite things in life is traveling. I love seeing new places, meeting new people and learning about their cultures and languages. When I travel I try to hang out with locals so that they could show me around, give some useful tips and tell me what kind of place this is, what people do here, how it is like to live here etc. And when people come to visit Russia I like to help them get around., show them places, introduce them to our customs, culture. Many foreigners struggle in Russia because of not knowing the language which makes it really difficult to exist here and I’m always eager to help them with translation and learning useful expressions. I’m friendly and easy-going. I have experience of living abroad- I spent a year in the US, so I really know what it feels like to be in a foreign country, experience a cultural shock and I know how helpful it can be to have someone who could explain you how things work and that’s what I offer to visitors of Russia. I want you to feel comfortable and enjoy your time here and will do my best to make this experience great for you!
