Delivery and Refund Terms

1) Scope and General Information

These Delivery and Refund Terms apply to all tour and experience bookings made through Localexperience.co. The Platform is operated by Siliconmade ARGE Yazılım Bilişim A.Ş. (“Siliconmade”) and functions as an intermediary service provider and payment infrastructure provider. The actual service is performed by an independent Guide.

2) Service Delivery (Fulfillment)

Localexperience.co bookings do not involve physical delivery. The service is considered delivered when the Guide performs the tour or experience at the date, time, and location specified in the booking. The Guide must provide the service on time and as described. The Traveler must review all booking details and arrive at the meeting point at the scheduled time. Any service-related issues must be reported to the Platform within 24 hours after the scheduled completion time.

3) Cancellation, Modification, and Refund Process

4) Force Majeure Situations

Scope: Government travel bans, natural disasters, major safety incidents, or similar unforeseen events beyond the parties’ control qualify as force majeure. Ordinary weather conditions (e.g., rain) are excluded.

Documentation: The Traveler must provide official documentation supporting the event. Upon approval, a full refund will be processed.

5) Fees, Commissions, and Deductions

6) Issue Reporting and Review

Service quality or delivery issues must be reported within 24 hours after the scheduled end of the tour via info@localexperience.co or through the Traveler’s account. Each complaint is reviewed, and if approved, the refund process is initiated.

7) Misuse and Security

Attempts at off-platform communication or payments, fake bookings, or repeated cancellation misuse may result in temporary or permanent account restrictions. For security, all reservations and payments must be completed through the Platform only.

8) Legal Framework

Under Turkish Consumer Law (Law No. 6502), leisure services provided on a specific date are exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Courts and Enforcement Offices of Istanbul.
