Local (Guide) Cancellation Policy

1. Purpose

This Local (Guide) Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) governs cancellations made by Locals for confirmed bookings on LocalExperience.co, operated by Siliconmade ARGE Yazılım Bilişim A.Ş. (“LocalExperience”).
LocalExperience operates as a marketplace intermediary and is not a party to the contract between the Local and the Traveler.



2. General Rules

Confirmed bookings must be honored.
Cancellations should only occur in exceptional or unavoidable circumstances.
Locals are strongly encouraged to reschedule the Experience or reassign it to another approved Local (if available and permitted).
Repeated cancellations negatively affect the Local’s profile visibility, rating, and future booking opportunities.



3. Cancellation Consequences

3.1 Before 7 Days
If the Local cancels a confirmed booking more than 7 days before the scheduled Experience,
No penalty applies, and the Traveler receives a full refund.

3.2 Within 7 Days
If the Local cancels within 7 days of the Experience date,
The Traveler receives a full refund,
and the Local’s future ranking and visibility on the Platform may be temporarily reduced.

3.3 Same-Day or No-Show
If the Local cancels within 24 hours of the Experience or fails to attend (“no-show”):
The Traveler receives a full refund,
The Local forfeits payment eligibility,
The account may be temporarily suspended or permanently deactivated.
A repeated no-show may result in permanent deactivation without notice.



4. Force Majeure

If a cancellation is caused by a force majeure event (e.g., serious illness, accident, natural disaster),
the Local must inform LocalExperience immediately and provide relevant documentation.
In verified cases, no penalty applies, and the Traveler will receive a full refund.



5. Refund Execution

Refunds resulting from Local cancellations are processed by LocalExperience on behalf of the Local.
Refunds are always made through the same payment method used by the Traveler.
LocalExperience does not hold financial liability beyond refund facilitation.



6. Platform’s Role

Facilitates cancellations and refunds as an intermediary;
Does not decide whether an Experience should be cancelled;
May, at its discretion, review repeated cancellation patterns for trust and safety reasons.



7. Liability and Disciplinary Measures

Locals who repeatedly cancel or fail to perform confirmed bookings may be:
Subject to lower visibility,
Temporarily suspended, or
Permanently removed from the Platform.
LocalExperience reserves the right to take appropriate action to maintain platform integrity and traveler trust.
