Hi! ? My name is Lucía, I’m from Seville and I’m 22 years old. After studying in Leicester for one whole year as part as the Erasmus programme, I’m back in Seville to finish the last year of my degree in Fine Art. Once I’ve finished it, my plan is to study a master in Film, since Video and Photography are the areas that most interest me, as well as drawing. I’m passionate about History, Art History, music (I play the piano!) and I love to travel around the world, learn new languages and meet people from different backgrounds. I also love to explore the local food and simple shops, not only when I travel but also in my own city (there are always magical places we can find if we’re willing to pay enough attention!). Seville is an extraordinary place to visit and is a city full of beautiful places, but if I have to choose I would probably recommend you to visit the neighbourhood of Santa Cruz, exploring its arabic streets and its small squares full of bars and places to have a "tapa" or a drink. The Cathedral with its famous Giralda is right next to this area and also very close to another beautiful neighbourhood called El Arenal. After that I recommend you to visit La Alfalfa, a very boheme and chic neighbourhood with many vintage shops and a lot of nightlife, as many students live here. If we cross the river we can also visit the neighbourhood of Triana, a very special place with its own personality and history as it’s one of the places where flamenco was initially born. There are many local “tablaos” (places where you can watch a live flamenco spectacle) in this area, in case you’re interested. I have a flexible timetable so I could spend with my guests the day, evening or night depending on the day (and I’m usually more free on weekends). I would like to be a guide because I want people to experience a real version of my city and visit not only the most typical touristic places but also the hidden local treasures this incredible city has to offer ⛲️
