Hi, my name is Öykü. I’m 27 years old and I live in the center of İstanbul for 10 years. I am a cat lover. I like to read biographical books and I am a strong believer of astrology and meditation. I am also an active Pilates practitioner. Professionally, I am working as a headhunter. I meet with new people every day and I enjoy the proud of connecting jobseekers with employers. I handle my daily-life activities via “walking”, which helps me to discover the less-known cozy spots of the city, such as a vintage boutique, a hat-seller store, a second-hand book & music disc store or a newly opened coffee house. Istanbul offers a plenty of choices for food. Local hamburger and pizza houses are highly delicious. Turkish Kebap is also a must-eat for tourists, which is also one of my favorite. There are also many wine houses, pubs/bars, third-wave coffee houses, fine dining restaurants with magnificent bosphorous view, and yummy breakfast alternatives. I will take my “local-experience seeker” guests to back streets of Galata and Karaköy for exploring boutique stores, Nişantaşı and Teşvikiye for shopping, Maçka Park and Caddebostan for chilling with beers, coastal districts of Arnavutköy and Bebek for sightseeing, Beyoğlu rooftops for night life entertainment and to many other cozy and interesting places of Istanbul. I can also accompany with you to historical well-known touristic attractions of Old City of Istanbul, such as Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Yerebatan Cistern and Blue Mosque. I can accompany with my guests day and night on weekends, and only after 7pm on weekdays. I like to meet new people all around the world and that is why I can be a hospitable local guide for my guests. There are many places to discover in this city, let’s discover them together. :)
