About Alena

I’m Alena from Minsk. I am 26 and am an English teacher. I have been living in Minsk for my whole life. As I teach foreign languages I really like meeting people from around the world. I am also very into art, especially contemporary art and photography. I like trying food from different countries but my favorite cuisine is Italian. Minsk is a nice and quite city. I like walking in numerous parks there. But my favourite part of the city is Oktyabrskaya Street with its unique atmosphere. This part of the city is very different from the rest of the city. It’s “occupied” by young people and there are a lot of cafes, art galleries and graffiti. During daytime we can visit all the main sightseeings. They are the Oktybrskaya square, Victory Square, national library where you can see very beautiful view of the city, the Museum of National Art. We can also walk in some of the parks which are very peaceful, e.g. Gorky Park, Cheluskintsev Park. In the evening it is best to see to very popular streets - Oktyabrskaya and Zybitskaya. You can feel the real atmosphere of these streets only in the evening. We can go to a bar or a cafe or listen to some street music. I have been living in Minsk for my whole life and I am really in love with the city. I want to share this live with others.
