About Vasilisa

Hi everyone! My name is Vasilisa, I was born in Moscow and have been living here for all my life. I am 19 y.o. and I study Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at Lomonosov Moscow State University. I am a usual student who likes spending time walking, having fun with friends, watching movies and series, reading books and, of course, exploring new exiting places in Moscow! I am keen on traveling, meeting new people around the world, learning about their cultures (language, traditions, music, literature, food and etc.) and postcrossing (exchanging postcards and letters). I am a big food lover so I like absolutely different types of food: Russian cuisine, Asian, Italian, vegetarian and so on. But the main thing I can't live without is all kinds of sweets :) Also I have got a cute black cat called Markiz. It looks like the famous character of Bulgakov's novel "The Master and Margarita" - the cat Begemot! Moscow is the most beautiful city I have ever seen and my favorite place there is the Red Square with its surroundings - Tverskaya street, The Bolshoi Theater, The Central Children World (amazingly big shop for children with toys, sweets and panoramic platform) and the park Zaradye. I have been in these places so many times but it never makes me bored or disappointed! To be perfectly honest, Moscow is so huge that it is impossible to show everything for only one day. That is why, if I have guests during daytime, I will offer him/her to choose from ancient city center or Arbat street (with visiting the Gorky park and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior), Soviet VDNH or Vorobyovy Mountains or modern downtown and parks. There are many amazing galleries and museums in Moscow or youth spaces such as Vinzavod or Flacon that we can also visit because I like spending my time there and hope my guest would also enjoy it! Moreover, we could take a shopping tour, for example, as there are a huge amount of shopping centers or make some good photos in the most spectacular places in Moscow. If you prefer night life and love wonderful city evening views, Moscow is the best place for you to visit! "Moscow never sleeps" as it is sung in Russian song :) Crowded bright streets or peaceful cozy squares, noisy bars and restaurants or warm cafés and eateries, luxuries parties or teen get-togethers - Moscow is the city of contrasts and you should experience it by yourself! Moreover, all kinds of food cuisine are here for you! We will taste famous Russian bliny, vareniky, pelmeny or borsch, enjoy pies, Zefir, Medovik and Napoleon cakes and I promise you will never regret about coming here! And if you are in love with theaters, we can visit some plays, operas, ballets, concerts or musicals! Why not? It is one of the most popular ways of spending evenings here! The best time for me to meet is morning/afternoon/evening on weekends but I also can try to show out my city on weekdays. Actually we always can discuss our meeting time and find the best options that will satisfy everyone! Please, don't hesitate and feel free to contact me! I am always happy to meet new people, spend my time sharing Russian culture and getting knowing something new about others and their native countries. I am very proud of the city I live in and would like to show you how splendid Moscow is! :)
