Depending on your interests, I would take you on a walking experience starting in Balat. After a traditional Turkish breakfast on a rooftop terrace with view over the Golden Horn, I will take you around the colourful neighborhood (get your cameras ready for the perfect Instagram shots!). From here, we proceed to my favourite mosques that are not only some of the oldest in Istanbul, but also have an amazing view over the Golden Horn. We will have some cay in one of the cute cafes in the narrow corners around the famous Istanbul university. Then it is time for some shopping at Eminonu.
We will throw ourselves in the busy paths of the Grande Bazaar to get your folks some souvenirs. Then we take a scenic walk over the Galata Bridge to Karaköy where I will show you one of the most impressive art centers in Istanbul (SALT). Time for a break! Karaköy is full of cozy cafes embracing the local cuisine. If you need some fresh air, we can stop by the seashore to grab a famous Balik Ekmek (fish bread) and sip some cay while observing the fishermen following their daily routine.
